Summer is the best time of the year for a trip. The days are long and the sun is warm. Where do you want to go this year?
Maybe you want to sit on a warm beach. Or maybe you want to hike up a cool mountain. There are so many amazing places to see in our world.
Sometimes it's hard to choose just one spot. That's why I wrote this post. I want to share my favorite places with you.

2. Santorini, Greece
You've probably seen pictures of Santorini. It's the Greek island with white buildings and blue dome roofs. It looks just like a postcard.
The island is built on the edge of an old volcano. The views of the sea from the high cliffs are amazing. People come from all over to watch the sunset here.
The sun looks like a giant orange ball as it drops into the sea. The beaches have black or red sand. It's a great place to relax and eat fresh seafood.
3. Maui, Hawaii
Maui is a perfect island escape. It has warm weather all year, but summer is great for swimming. The water is very clear.
You can snorkel with sea turtles. They swim right next to you! You should also drive the Road to Hana. It's a long, windy road with over 600 turns.
Along the way, you'll see green rainforests and black sand beaches. You can stop to swim in cold pools under waterfalls.

Bali is a very popular spot, and it's easy to see why. It has a warm, spiritual feel. You'll see small flower offerings on the ground outside every door.
The island has beautiful green rice terraces. You can walk through them in the morning. There are also great beaches for surfing and sunbathing.

The air is fresh and cold. The mountains are covered in white snow. Queenstown is known as the adventure capital of the world. You can go skiing or snowboarding.
If you want something quiet, you can take a boat ride on Lake Wakatipu. It's surrounded by giant, beautiful mountains.
11. Provence, France
Provence is a region in the south of France. Summer is the best time to visit because of the lavender. In July, the lavender fields turn bright purple.
The fields go on for miles. They smell sweet and fresh. You can drive through the hills and stop at old stone villages.
Every village has a weekly market. You can buy fresh olives, goat cheese, and sweet melons. It's a wonderful place to slow down.
12. Vancouver Island, Canada
This is a big island on the west coast of Canada. It's covered in old-growth rainforests. The trees here are massive. Some are hundreds of years old.
You can visit the town of Tofino on the wild west coast. It's a famous spot for cold-water surfing. You can also go on a boat to watch whales.
